This exciting 3 day weekend will include pottery demonstrations and lectures by Living National Treasure of the Cherokee Nation Troy Jackson, and nationally recognized Quapaw potter Betty Gaedtke (Te-mi-zhi-ka) all day on Friday and Saturday. Artist Lectures will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at 5:15pm. An exhibition and pottery sale of over 100 potters from Arkansas and surrounding states will be open Friday and Saturday from 9 am- 5 pm, and Sunday 10 am- 4pm. Also on display will be selected MasterWorks from the Ceramics Teaching Collections courtesy of the University of Arkansas, featuring Lisa Orr, Paul Donnelly, Matt Kelleher, Maren Kloppmann, and many more. Door prize drawings will be held each day, but you must be present to win! Corbett’s Hot Dogs will be on site Friday from 11 am to close.

Saturday night attendees are invited to a cookout and potters potluck social event, with live music from band “March to August”, in conjunction with Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere. Vendor booths will include The Clay Bank, Kansas City Clay Guild, David Johnson Pottery of Memphis TN, Osage Pottery and MONAH. The Arkansas Pottery Festival is also partnering with CobbleStone Farms for a Flower Pot and Plant Sale Fundraiser, with a wide selection of affordable handmade planters and locally grown plants. Concurrent events will include the UARK Ceramics Student Sale and Exhibition, Walton Arts Center Illumination Series features artist Daniel Johnston, noted for being the foremost practitioner of the North Carolina pottery style. This exhibition of large scale ceramics, in the Walton Arts Center lobby, will be on view April 5- June 31.

Sunday at 11 a.m. attendees are invited for a private tour of the Museum of Native American History in Bentonville, Ar.
